SAP FI Consultant - Accounts Payable

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a SAP S/4HANA transformation initiative focused on modernizing financial operations, with a particular emphasis on Accounts Payable (AP). This opportunity involves a hybrid working model, with two days per week on-site in Maia, Portugal. The assignment is expected to start in November or December 2026 and continue until January 2028.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Contribute to the transition of financial processes to SAP S/4HANA, focusing on Accounts Payable.
- Analyze business requirements and assess their alignment with SAP FI capabilities.
- Support the configuration, adaptation and optimization of financial processes.
- Participate in data migration, functional testing and solution validation activities.
- Investigate functional issues and collaborate on their resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain functional documentation, including test scenarios and validation materials.
- Work closely with technical teams, functional specialists and business stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Professional experience as a SAP FI Consultant, with a strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes.
- Previous involvement in SAP implementation, rollout, transformation or migration initiatives.
- Ability to translate financial business requirements into functional solutions.
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Availability to work on-site in Maia two days per week.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- SAP Financial Accounting (SAP FI).
- Accounts Payable (AP) processes and financial operations.
- SAP FI functional configuration and process optimization.
- Functional requirements analysis and documentation.
- SAP implementation and migration methodologies.
- Functional testing, validation and issue resolution.
