Java Full Stack Developer

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join Hexa as a Senior Java Full Stack Developer and contribute to the development and evolution of enterprise applications within the banking sector.

Based in Lisbon, this hybrid opportunity involves working in an Agile environment, supporting business-critical applications related to regulatory compliance and customer information management. You will contribute across the application lifecycle, combining back-end engineering, front-end development and continuous quality improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Develop, enhance and maintain full stack applications using Java and Angular technologies.
- Design scalable, maintainable software components aligned with established architecture and development standards.
- Implement automated tests and apply coding practices that support application reliability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, identify technical improvements and contribute to the reduction of technical debt.
- Investigate production incidents, resolve application issues and support operational continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate development activities and respond to evolving priorities.
- Contribute to multiple development initiatives through technical knowledge sharing and consistent engineering practices.
- Promote continuous optimization of application quality, maintainability and development processes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- More than 9 years of professional experience in full stack software development, preferably within Agile environments.
- Strong experience delivering enterprise applications across front-end and back-end technologies.
- Ability to work autonomously on complex technical challenges while maintaining high software quality standards.
- Solid analytical thinking, structured problem-solving capabilities and attention to technical detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Commitment to continuous learning, technical improvement and collaborative delivery.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Java EE and enterprise application development.
- Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Batch and Spring MVC.
- Angular 2+ for front-end application development.
- Maven for dependency management and application builds.
- JBoss application server.
- Oracle relational databases and SQL.
- Unit testing frameworks, including JUnit and Mockito.
- Software design patterns and clean code principles.
- Continuous integration principles and associated development tools.
- Agile software development methodologies.
- Application testing, debugging and performance optimization.

NICE TO HAVE

- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Shell scripting.
