Datacenter & Private Cloud Team Lead

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced infrastructure professional to lead and contribute technically to datacenter and private cloud operations within the technology and infrastructure services sector. This role combines hands-on technical ownership with team coordination, supporting critical platforms, high availability, security, performance and continuous optimization in a hybrid work model in the Lisbon area.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Manage datacenter and private cloud infrastructure, including physical environments, availability, performance, security and operational efficiency.
- Oversee LAN and WAN network availability, monitoring, incident handling and change management in line with IT service management practices.
- Administer virtualization, storage, backup and operating system platforms across complex and high-availability environments.
- Define and improve backup, recovery and disaster recovery practices for critical infrastructure services.
- Support operational security controls, including firewall, IDS and IPS environments, aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
- Coordinate and develop a technical team, promoting collaboration, accountability, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization, standardization, automation and technological improvement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- More than 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure, datacenter, systems, network or private cloud environments.
- Previous experience in leadership, team coordination or technical ownership roles.
- Strong technical depth combined with the ability to guide others, support decision-making and maintain delivery quality.
- Experience working with complex, business-critical and high-availability infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with SLAs, incident management, change management and ITIL-based operational practices.
- Academic background in Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or a related field.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Datacenter infrastructure, including racks, power, cooling, physical security and operational continuity.
- LAN and WAN networks, including Cisco, Fortinet or similar technologies.
- Virtualization platforms, including VMware and Hyper-V.
- Storage technologies, including SAN, NAS and SAN switching.
- Backup platforms and practices, including Dell, Avamar and Veeam.
- Operating systems, including Linux and Windows Server.
- Operational security technologies, including firewalls, IDS and IPS.
- ITIL practices, SLA monitoring, incident management and change management.
- Infrastructure optimization, automation and scripting principles.

NICE TO HAVE

- VMware, Cisco or ITIL certifications.
- Experience with automation or scripting for infrastructure operations.
- Knowledge of Dell, Huawei or similar enterprise infrastructure technologies.

COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY

Base salary range: EUR 20 000 - EUR 28 000 gross/year
Total compensation: up to EUR 45 000/year
The salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate's profile and position requirements.
