ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a hybrid opportunity in Porto within the financial services sector. This role focuses on capturing, defining and structuring business and functional requirements for trading platforms, acting as a bridge between Front Office trading desks, Quants, Product Owners and technical teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Capture, analyse and structure business and functional requirements for trading platform initiatives.
- Translate complex financial products, structured instruments and derivatives payouts into clear technical specifications.
- Act as the link between Front Office trading desks, Quants, Product Owners and delivery teams.
- Collaborate with backend, frontend and DevOps teams to support functional alignment and implementation clarity.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and business rules in Agile delivery contexts.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning and requirement clarification throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Analyse trade data and support data-driven validation of requirements and functional behaviours.
- Ensure requirements are clear, complete, testable and aligned with business objectives.
- Promote transparency, collaboration and continuous improvement across business and technology teams.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 5 to 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or similar role.
- Strong experience in capital markets, trading platforms or financial products environments.
- Solid understanding of structured notes, certificates and warrants.
- Strong knowledge of embedded features such as autocallables, callable features, trigger mechanisms, observation dates and coupon barriers.
- Good understanding of barrier types, including American, European, Parisian, knock-in and knock-out structures.
- Knowledge of payoff variations such as Worst-of structures, Rainbow, Cliquet and Accumulators.
- Strong foundation in debt instruments, including fixed-rate bonds, floating-rate bonds and zero-coupon bonds.
- Understanding of derivatives such as vanilla options, exotic options, equity swaps, interest rate swaps, futures and forwards.
- Ability to communicate complex financial and technical concepts clearly to different stakeholders.
- Professional working proficiency in English.

COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY

Base salary range: EUR 18,000 - EUR 28,000 gross/year
Total compensation: up to EUR 35,000/year
The salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate's profile and position requirements.
