This role is focused on backend development, distributed architectures, system integration and high-availability digital environments.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\n\n- Design, develop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications within distributed and service-oriented architectures.\n- Build and integrate REST APIs, messaging flows and event-driven components across complex systems.\n- Work with containerized environments using Kubernetes or OpenShift to support scalable application delivery.\n- Contribute to platform reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting and operational observability practices.\n- Support scheduling, data storage and integration components across high-availability environments.\n- Apply AI-driven development practices responsibly to improve delivery quality, productivity and code analysis.\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\n\n- Solid experience as a Java Developer in senior-level enterprise delivery contexts.\n- Ability to work with distributed systems, complex integrations and service-oriented application landscapes.\n- Professional working proficiency in English, with at least B1 level.\n- Responsible, collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, with attention to quality and operational continuity.\n- Ability to work in a hybrid model based in Porto, with regular office presence three days per week.\n\nTECHNICAL SKILLS\n\n- Java backend development\n- Distributed architectures and service-oriented architectures\n- Event-driven architecture\n- Kafka\n- ActiveMQ\n- Kubernetes or OpenShift\n- Quartz Enterprise Job Scheduler or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools\n- MongoDB, Redis and Elasticsearch or equivalent storage technologies\n- REST APIs and system integration\n- Monitoring, logging and alerting\n- AI-driven development practices\n\nNICE TO HAVE\n\n- Experience in financial services, capital markets or post-trade environments.\n- Experience in regulated, high-availability technology environments.\n- Experience with large-scale digital platforms.\n\nCOMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY\n\nBase salary range: EUR 14 000 - EUR 36 000 gross\/year\nTotal compensation: up to EUR 43 000\/year\nThe salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements.
