This hybrid opportunity is based in Lisbon and involves working closely with distributed teams to build, maintain and improve scalable data solutions using modern big data technologies.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\n\n- Design, develop and maintain big data solutions using Spark, Python, Hadoop, Hive and SQL.\n- Work with distributed teams to deliver reliable and scalable data engineering solutions.\n- Support software development activities across the data engineering lifecycle.\n- Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations using APIs and Kafka.\n- Apply CI\/CD practices to improve delivery quality and automation.\n- Use source code management practices with Git.\n- Support build, deployment and scheduling activities using enterprise tooling.\n- Monitor, troubleshoot and improve data processing performance.\n- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.\n- Collaborate with international teams with autonomy, organisation and prioritisation.\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\n\n- Minimum of 9 years of professional experience in data engineering, big data engineering or similar roles.\n- Strong experience with Spark, Python, Hadoop, Hive and SQL.\n- Solid experience in software development and CI\/CD practices.\n- Familiarity with DevOps concepts and delivery automation.\n- Ability to work in an international and distributed team.\n- Professional working proficiency in English at B2 level or above.\n- Positive, collaborative and proactive mindset.\n- Autonomy, organisation and ability to prioritise work effectively.\n- Willingness to learn, share knowledge and contribute with innovative thinking.\n\nTECHNICAL SKILLS\n\n- Spark\n- Python\n- Hadoop\n- Hive\n- SQL\n- Linux\n- APIs\n- Kafka\n- Software development\n- CI\/CD\n- DevOps concepts\n- Git\n- XL Release\n- XL Deploy\n- CTRL-M\n- Data pipeline development\n- Big data processing\n- Performance troubleshooting\n- Technical documentation\n\nNICE TO HAVE\n\n- Experience with optimisation and performance improvement.\n- Knowledge of French.\n- Awareness of information security, ISO\/IEC 27001 or cybersecurity best practices.\n\nCOMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY\n\nBase salary range: EUR 22 000 - EUR 32 000 gross\/year\nTotal compensation: up to EUR 40 000\/year\nThe salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements.
