This role is based in Brussels, Belgium, and supports complex ICT projects across the full project lifecycle, including security design, approval activities, security auditing and continuous improvement of internal processes.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\n\n- Provide security architecture advice and guidance to project managers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.\n- Support security approval and accreditation activities for ICT-related projects.\n- Perform security risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation and acceptance actions.\n- Review security documentation, including approval documentation sets, security test evidence, verification outputs and audit reports.\n- Draft security recommendations and approval or accreditation letters.\n- Contribute to security auditing activities across ICT systems and projects.\n- Ensure SIEM and UEBA systems remain operational and that relevant security logs are properly ingested.\n- Develop custom SIEM and UEBA queries, reports and dashboards to support security auditing activities.\n- Produce security architecture documentation, including non-functional security requirements based on project scope.\n- Recommend improvements to security processes, templates and working practices.\n- Represent the security team in internal cybersecurity meetings.\n- Provide regular status reporting to the designated supervisor.\n- Assess security approval requests from an architecture and risk perspective.\n- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal security governance processes.\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\n\n- Minimum 8 years of experience in ICT security-related functions.\n- Strong expertise in ICT security architecture and security approval or accreditation processes.\n- Experience participating in ICT system and application implementation projects.\n- Experience with both on-premises and cloud deployment environments.\n- Experience with SIEM and UEBA technologies and tools.\n- Technically oriented university degree or equivalent completed advanced vocational training.\n- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure and security services.\n- Good understanding of project management methodologies and tools.\n- Experience organising workshops, conducting meetings and delivering presentations.\n- Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management skills.\n- Advanced professional working proficiency in English.\n- Active or eligible secret-level security clearance required.\n\nTECHNICAL SKILLS\n\n- ICT security architecture\n- Security approval\n- Security accreditation\n- Security risk assessment\n- Security risk management\n- Security auditing\n- Security architecture frameworks\n- SABSA\n- SIEM\n- UEBA\n- Log analytics\n- User behaviour monitoring\n- Security dashboards\n- Security reporting\n- Directory services\n- Databases\n- PKI\n- Firewalls\n- On-premises infrastructure\n- Cloud security\n- Non-functional security requirements\n- Project management methodologies\n- PRINCE2\n\nNICE TO HAVE\n\n- Experience working in international organisation or governmental environments.\n- Experience working in classified environments.\n- Experience working in complex multi-stakeholder environments.\n- Experience with log analytics, user behaviour monitoring and auditing.\n- Knowledge and practice of CIS security directives in defence environments.\n- National certification in cybersecurity risk management or security accreditation processes.\n- Formal training or certification in SIEM, UEBA or UAM tools.\n- Experience with Splunk or Everfox suite.\n- Knowledge of AI-related security architecture.\n\nCOMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY\n\nBase salary range: EUR 25 000 - EUR 40 000 gross\/year\nTotal compensation: up to EUR 56 000\/year\nThe salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements.
