In this role, you will build reliable data pipelines, reusable data products and governed data flows that support business and technical teams in turning complex data into meaningful, trusted outcomes.\n\nWhat you will do\n\nDesign, implement and maintain data pipelines and transformations using Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse.\nDevelop reusable, high-performance data products across bronze, silver and gold data layers.\nIntegrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including enterprise platforms and external systems.\nEnsure data quality, lineage, documentation and compliance with governance and security standards.\nOptimise data processing for scalability, performance and cost efficiency.\nCollaborate with data architects, business analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.\nAutomate workflows, testing and deployment through CI\/CD pipelines.\nContribute to standardisation, reusability and continuous improvement of data engineering practices.\n\nWhat we are looking for\n\nAt least 5 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer.\nStrong understanding of modern data architectures and data lifecycle management.\nExperience working cross-functionally with data, IT and business teams.\nSolid knowledge of data modelling techniques and reusable data component design.\nExperience with Agile and DevOps delivery approaches.\nStrong ownership, reliability and accountability for data quality and delivery.\nProfessional working proficiency in English.\n\nTechnical skills\n\nProgramming and data processing: Python, PySpark and SQL.\nAzure data platforms: Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Data Factory.\nData modelling: Data Vault, dimensional modelling and entity-relationship modelling.\nAutomation and DevOps: CI\/CD, Azure DevOps, Git and Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform.\nData governance: Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog or comparable metadata and lineage tools.\nData engineering practices: data quality, lineage, security, documentation, scalability and cost optimisation.\n\nNice to have\n\nProfessional working proficiency in Portuguese.\nDatabricks-related certifications.\n\nLife as a Hexa Builder\nAt Hexa, being a Builder means taking ownership, contributing with intention and creating real impact through the work you deliver.
