SOBRE A OPORTUNIDADE

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to support critical applications within the banking sector, working in a hybrid model in Porto. This role focuses on production stability, infrastructure operations, application industrialization, automation, secure architecture and continuous improvement across sensitive 24/7 environments.

O QUE VAI FAZER

- Provide Level 3 support for application and infrastructure environments, including incident analysis, issue resolution, change requests, maintenance and on-call support.
- Ensure application and system stability through monitoring, alerting, resilient architecture practices and service level management.
- Coordinate technical changes and operations, including application releases, infrastructure changes, server moves and planned maintenance activities.
- Commission new application versions in collaboration with development, maintenance, systems, database, operations and network teams.
- Participate in problem management, production incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Document application components, technical architecture, operational procedures, supervision needs and recovery instructions.
- Manage backup activities and perform regular restore tests to validate data recovery capability.
- Monitor application and infrastructure capacity, analyze load patterns and recommend resource allocation or architecture improvements.
- Support Disaster Recovery Plan activities, including recurring test scenarios for datacenter, server and network failure situations.
- Contribute to technical architecture definition for new applications, ensuring alignment with infrastructure standards and security expectations.
- Improve operational tools and procedures through automation, scripting and test scenario optimization.

O QUE PROCURAMOS

- Minimum 6 years of experience in Linux infrastructure projects, production engineering or application support environments.
- Experience supporting critical production systems with high availability, operational continuity and service level requirements.
- Ability to work with infrastructure, development and operations teams in technical project contexts.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, ownership and capacity to operate in sensitive and business-critical environments.
- Good understanding of secure architecture principles, operational risk and production controls.
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation for non-working hours support, maintenance and incident handling.
- Collaborative, structured and solution-oriented approach, with clear communication and documentation practices.

- WebSphere to JBoss migration contexts.
- SSL certificates.
- Reverse proxy.
- Load balancing.
- Scheduler tools such as Control-M or VTOM.
- Monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, Grafana or ELK.
- Deployment and release tools such as Git, Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release, Bitbucket and Artifactory.
- Container and platform technologies such as OpenShift and Docker.
- Backup and restore testing.
- Disaster Recovery Plan execution and testing.
- Capacity management and infrastructure resource optimization.
- Change management and production release management.

Desejável

- Knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Experience with financial services or banking production environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure security standards and service level frameworks.
