This opportunity is based in Lisbon, with a hybrid working model requiring three days per week on-site, and is open to candidates currently living in Portugal.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\n\n- Design, implement and maintain scalable Java microservices for digital platform features.\n- Own the full feature lifecycle, from technical analysis and architecture discussion to implementation, testing, code review and deployment.\n- Integrate and configure identity and access management flows, including authentication, authorization and token customization.\n- Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs with clear OpenAPI documentation.\n- Implement event-driven communication patterns using cloud-based queues and enterprise messaging platforms.\n- Support code quality, security and maintainability through review practices and automated analysis tools.\n- Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards and knowledge sharing within the team.\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\n\n- 4 or more years of professional experience in backend development, with solid autonomy in software delivery.\n- Professional working proficiency at C1 level in both English and Portuguese.\n- Experience working in collaborative engineering environments with ownership of delivery quality.\n- Ability to analyze technical requirements, propose solutions and contribute to continuous optimization.\n- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon, three days per week on-site.\n- Current residence in Portugal.\n\nTECHNICAL SKILLS\n\n- Java\n- Microservices architecture\n- REST APIs\n- GraphQL\n- OpenAPI\n- Keycloak\n- Okta\n- OIDC\n- RBAC\n- Token customization\n- AWS SQS\n- Solace\n- SonarQube\n- Snyk\n- Code review practices\n- React\n\nNICE TO HAVE\n\n- Experience supporting junior engineers through mentoring or knowledge transfer.\n- Previous involvement in architecture discussions or engineering standardization initiatives.\n- Familiarity with secure software development and cybersecurity best practices.\n\nCOMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY\n\nBase salary range: EUR 14,000 - EUR 30,000 gross\/year\nTotal compensation: up to EUR 35,000\/year\nThe salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements.
