This role focuses on operational stability, incident resolution, monitoring optimization, automation, documentation and continuous improvement in a hybrid model based in Porto.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\n\n- Provide advanced production application support, including incident analysis, resolution and root cause investigation.\n- Manage high-priority incidents end-to-end, ensuring coordination with development, infrastructure and product teams.\n- Improve monitoring, alerting, operational documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures.\n- Lead or contribute to small and medium operational improvement projects, including upgrades, automation initiatives and application rollouts.\n- Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues and support knowledge sharing with junior support engineers.\n- Participate in rotating operational coverage, including shifts that may start early in the morning or extend into the evening.\n- Ensure clear handover, accurate status communication and continuity of service across shifts and teams.\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\n\n- Senior experience in application support, production operations or similar IT operations environments.\n- Strong capability to analyze complex incidents, prioritize impact and drive resolution in business-critical contexts.\n- Professional working proficiency in English, equivalent to B2 level or higher.\n- Collaborative, responsible and solution-oriented approach when working with technical and business stakeholders.\n- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Porto, with on-site presence two days per week.\n- Ability to contribute to 24\/7 operational support through a rotating on-call and shift model.\n\nTECHNICAL SKILLS\n\n- Linux and Windows operating systems.\n- HAProxy, Apache and IIS application server environments.\n- Bash, PowerShell and Python scripting.\n- Zabbix and Grafana monitoring platforms.\n- Axway API Gateway middleware.\n- ServiceNow and Jira for ticketing and operational tracking.\n- Control-M scheduling.\n- Confluence, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, XLDeploy, XLRelease and Bitbucket.\n- AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform environments.\n- Terraform for infrastructure automation.\n- OpenShift.\n\nNICE TO HAVE\n\n- Experience in banking, financial services or other highly regulated environments.\n- Exposure to problem management practices, service continuity and operational excellence initiatives.\n- Awareness of information security, change control and cybersecurity best practices.\n\nCOMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY\n\nBase salary range: EUR 17 000 - EUR 19 000 gross\/year\nTotal compensation: up to EUR 22 000\/year\nThe salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements.
